When studying this course you will develop advanced skills in areas such as income tax, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, performance analysis, financial reporting and leadership. Once you complete this Chisholm course, you’ll qualify to be accredited by the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
The program reflects both existing practice and emerging trends in the finance industry, providing you with readily transferable professional skills. Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program, which involves a combination of theory and practical study and simulated work situations. Assessment is progressive throughout the program. This nationally recognised qualification may lead to employment in roles such as assistant accountant, bookkeeper or BAS agent in a broad range of organisations. Once complete, this qualification will provide a guaranteed pathway into Chisholm’s Bachelor of Accounting (La Trobe Partnership). And you’ll be able to gain credit for your studies, which means you’ll complete your degree sooner.

Entry requirement for international students
Australian Year 12 (VCE or equivalent) or international equivalent qualification
Completion of FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Completion of the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set, Completion of either FNS40615 Certificate IV in Accounting (or equivalent) OR FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (or equivalent). Alternatively completion of the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set.
IELTS 5.5 with no band less than 5.0; TOEFL (internet based): 46; PTE (academic): 42; Cambridge Advanced CAE: 47; Occupational English Test OET: Pass.
