What will I learn?

The accredited Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising (Design and Product Development) covers the skills you need to bring your designs to life and launch your distinctive style in the fashion industry.

Studying fashion at TAFE NSW will put you in good company, join prestigious fashion alumni including Akira Isogawa, Nicky Zimmerman, Alex Perry and Dion Lee. In this course, you will learn advanced techniques across the various stages of garment production including the use of essential industry tools such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology.

Entry requirements

For international students

Prerequisite: Certificate III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology

English Language Requirements:

Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 46 or equivalent

Or Completion of a TAFE NSW General English Program

The level of support you need may be assessed via a review of your LLN skills with written tasks and a one-on-one interview. If you need to strengthen your LLN skills, an individual training plan will be created with you.
