What will I learn?

Become a confident and qualified beauty therapist and stand out to employers with CIT's Beauty Therapy Diploma. This qualification will prepare you to become a professional in the industry and features a specialisation in spa therapies, enabling you to work in 5-star resorts, wellness day spas or beauty salons. In this hands-on course, students practice with clients in our commercial salons.

You will learn about spa and body treatments including spa therapies; stone therapy massage, aromatherapy massage, Indian head massage, reflexology and relaxation techniques. Through our partnerships with Dermalogica and Kryolan you'll have access to a world-recognised skin care range, industry experts and the latest beauty industry techniques.

Pathway to Further Study:

Diploma of Beauty Therapy (SHB50115) = 80 credit points (1 year) towards TU's Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics)

Entry requirements

For international students

Academic requirements:

Year 12 Certificate or equivalent

Students over the age of 20 may be eligible for adult entry.

English requirements:

  • IELTS 5.5 (no band score less than 5.0)
  • TOEFL iBT - 46
  • PTE Academic - 42 (minimum of 36 in each band)
  • Cambridge English test (C1 Advanced and B2 First) - 162
  • Successful completion of CIT's English for Study and Life (Upper Intermediate)
