What will I learn?

Early Childhood Educators assist in caring for the social, emotional, physical and educational needs of infants and young children in various care settings. Early childhood Educators can have a profound influence on a child’s wellbeing and development especially in the years of 0-5.

Qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care focus on the core skills, knowledge and experience required to effectively assess the strengths and interests of children designing meaningful experiences that facilitate the child’s growth and development.

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC 50113) qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards.

The program is delivered over 945 hours face to face for 63 college weeks, 5 hours online learning for 5 college weeks and work placement of 7.6 hours per week for 58 college weeks
