Care for children, and help them learn about our world with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care. This course teaches students to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
Students will learn to provide care for babies, toddlers, and children, promote children’s agency, and promote positive social behaviours.
This course has a practical component that requires 240 hours to be completed in a registered and licensed children’s service over the period of the qualification. Placement must occur for the full duration of the study period.
Career Outcomes
Graduates of this course will qualified to work in the Childcare Industry as in roles such as Lead Educator, Service Manager, and Service Educator.

Students entering a related Bachelor qualification may be granted advanced standing for the successful completion of accredited awards at AQF Diploma level, in recognition of the rigorous nature of the accreditation and audit process associated with the Australian Quality Framework.
