What will I learn?

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is a program of significant original research. During the course of the degree the candidate will further develop their specialist knowledge in the field, and become highly skilled with deep methodological capacity. Depending on the field of specialisation, the degree culminates in a final written thesis. The Doctor of Philosophy is an internationally recognised research degree and is a pathway to an academic or research career.

The Doctor of Philosophy (Health Sciences and Medicine) allows you to undertake supervised research studies in one or more of the Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine's research areas and groups.

Graduates at this level will have expert, specialised cognitive, technical and research skills in a discipline area to independently and systematically generate original knowledge and understanding to make a substantial contribution to a discipline or area of professional practice.

On Campus and Remote

Due to current travel restrictions, this program will temporarily be delivered using a mixture of on-campus, remote and multi-modal classes to support and engage all students, from all parts of the world.

The September semester for this program will be delivered in a multi-modal format, with classes designed to support and engage all learners. Whether they’re on campus or abroad, all students will be able to access Bond’s exceptional and personalised learning experience through dynamic and interactive lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops and lab sessions.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

The minimum requirements for this program is a University Bachelor's Degree with Honors (First Class or 2A) or a research Master's Degree in a relevant discipline, with evidence of the ability to conduct supervised research; or a qualification or combination of qualifications deemed to be equivalent by the Faculty Research Committee. English Language Requirements: IELTS score 7.0 (No sub score less than 6.5); Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-Based Test: 98; PTE: 65.

For international students
