Integrated PhD in Nursing & Midwifery at VU
Our integrated program offers an alternative path to a doctoral degree in Nursing and Midwifery. During your first year, you’ll learn best-practice research methods. On passing the first-year components with a 70% average, you’ll begin your own original research, graduating in the standard timeframe.
We’ll continue to support you throughout your research in community, clinical-practice, education or policy areas. Our connections with local, medical and government organisations give you real-world research opportunities. Entry into a research program (postgraduate study) requires completion of: an honours degree, or a masters degree by coursework with a research component, or an equivalent qualification from an approved university.
