UNSW Sydney has been named 'AFR Most Employable University' for four years in a row at the Top100 Future Leaders Awards 2020-2023. Thirty-three UNSW students were named as most employable students in the 2023 Award, the highest of any university. On graduation, international students are eligible to apply for the Post Study Work stream of the Temporary Graduate Visa. The visa allows graduates to live and work in Australia. Over 160 UNSW programs are eligible for an additional two-year extension of the Post Study Work visa.

For four years in a row, the Australian Financial Review’s Top100 Future Leaders Awards, which identifies the best talent produced in Australian universities, has recognised UNSW Sydney as the ‘Most Employable University’. 33 students from the university stood out as most employable, the highest of any university.
Jessica Lawson, a Bachelor of Information Systems (Hons) student from the university won the IT Top100 Future Leader Award. As a part of the UNSW Sydney Business School’s Co-op Scholarship program, she can undertake three six-month internships with sponsors over her degree. Her first internship was with the global pharmaceutical company Merck Sharp & Dohme. She is currently in an internship with Westpac ISG.
“The Co-op scholarship program has provided me with wonderful opportunities. I feel really fortunate to have been given the chance to have internships and look forward to learning as much as I can in the remaining two years of my degrees,” Jessica said.
This scholarship is exclusive to international students with citizenship in India. This is awarded to students based on their academic merit. Students do not need to apply to this scholarship separately and will be considered on applying to UNSW Sydney.

For undergraduate study, there is more than one way to meet the academic entry requirements. These include high school studies, foundation studies, recognised prior study and a university transfer. UNSW Sydney accepts a number of international qualifications. Undergraduate applicants can check entry requirements for common international high school certificates from the Direct entry table.

If a student’s qualifications were not undertaken and assessed in English, the student must provide evidence of English language ability that meets the minimum requirements for admission. The degree pages of UNSW Sydney include details for the program’s English language requirements. For evidence accepted by UNSW, students should refer to the English Language Requirements page.
There are different ways to satisfy UNSW’s English language requirements. In addition to university English preparation courses and English tests, the university also accepts several academic qualifications for its English language requirements. All qualifications should have been taken by students no more than two years from their year of commencement of study, (excluding students from Sweden, Denmark, or Norway, who can produce results four years prior to commencement year of study at UNSW Sydney).
