What will I learn?

If you are looking to invest yourself into an accounting career, then FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping is a great starting point. This course will teach you the foundations and skills to be able to prepare financial reports, accounts and ledgers, operational budgets and business activity statements by applying the required accounting principles and practices used in this growing industry.

Other skills you will gain during your studies will include how to use essential industry tools and programs to establish and maintain a payroll system, process financial transactions and extract interim reports. You will also develop the practical ability to be able to process manual and computerised accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger items.

This course prepares you for entry into FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting if you wish to further your studies.

IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0; TOEFL 55 (iBT); Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - Minimum Level 43; Password score of 5.5; Eiken Grade Pre 1; Successful completion of at least 2 years of study at an acceptable grade in an English medium course completed within the previous 2 years OR GCE O Levels English with 'C'; 'A' or 'B' in Malaysian SPM English or 'C' in 1119 English; Kenyan KCSE English 'C'; International Baccalaureate (IB) Minimum of 3 in English A1 or A2; Completion of the Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE); Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Upper Intermediate Level or equivalent at North Metropolitan TAFE or a recognized English college.
