Our Diploma of Accounting provides you with an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to provide professional accounting services in the financial services industry. This qualification incorporates how to prepare complex financial reports for corporate entities, how to manage budgeting and forecasting as well as how to prepare individual tax returns, leading to accounting roles such as:

• Tax Accountant
• Government Finance Services
• Cost Accountant
• Management Accountant
• Operational Accountant

Pathways/Articulation:

After achieving the Diploma of Accounting, you may undertake the Advanced Diploma of Accounting or a range of other Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree qualifications. You may be able to receive exemptions from some subjects based on this qualification.

On completion, you will also be eligible to gain membership with the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) – the membership body of choice for accountants.

Furthermore, WAIFS has an articulation pathway with Murdoch University. This means that if you study our Diploma of Accounting + our Advanced Diploma of Accounting, you can continue on and study a Bachelor of Business (B1318) studying Accounting OR a Double Major in Accounting and Finance at Murdoch University in 2 years instead of 3 years.
