This course offers a higher level qualification in human services for those with a Bachelor degree. It also offers an entry level qualification into Masters programs in the fields of human services and social work for experienced practitioners in human services without tertiary qualifications. Graduates wishing to enter the Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying) are able to complete pre-requisite subjects in either psychology/sociology and or politics/policy to meet entry for this course.

Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Human Services must meet the following requirements:
Completed Bachelor (or AQF equivalent) in human services, social work, social welfare, social sciences, nursing, health or related areas;
OR
A completed Bachelor (or AQF equivalent), needing to complete pre-requisite subjects, for the purpose of applying to the Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying) degree at the Course Director's direction;
OR
Five years full time (or equivalent) relevant work experience in Human Services.
