About the course

Whether or not you have a background in IT, the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology is designed to help you progress to the Master of Information Technology. Flexible entry requirements mean a variety of previous educational and work experience may be taken into account.

During our one-year course, you will gain:

Progression

The Graduate Diploma of Information Technology can be used as a pathway to enter the Master of Information Technology. You'll gain full credit for the Graduate Diploma if you take it as a pathway into the Master of Information Technology.

Accreditation

The Charles Sturt Master of Information Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Graduates of the MIT are eligible for full professional membership (the highest level possible).

Entry requirements

For students from United States

You may receive up to 50% credit for previous studies completed at a postgraduate or equivalent level.

For international students

You'll need an Australian bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent bachelor’s degree from another country, to enrol on one of our postgraduate courses.

English language requirement:

If you’re applying for a postgraduate degree, you will need to have an Academic minimum overall score of 6.0. More specifically, you will need to have achieved a score of no less than 6.0 in the writing band and no less than 5.5 in all other bands.
