With a strong emphasis on research, this program provides professionals from multidisciplinary backgrounds with enhanced skills to pursue a career in public health.

Gain the knowledge and skills in relation to public health principles, values, ethics, research and practice for improving population health status locally and internationally.

The Graduate Diploma of Public Health is a specialist postgraduate degree consisting of 120 credit points or equivalent eight courses and normally takes one year of full-time study (or longer subject to approval by the Program Coordinator).

As a sub-program of the Master of Public Health, the Graduate Diploma of Public Health is an AQF level 8 qualification.

This program is also available as a graduate certificate option, which offers 60 credit points if gaining entry into the diploma. Significant public health related experience is also considered upon application assessment.

Applicant should also have specified minimum grades (or marks) in relevant subjects. A period of work experience, following graduation, may also be required for some professional courses. Academic IELTS: Overall 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL iBT: 79-93 with minimums: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, Writing 21; Pearson (PTE): Overall 58 (no band less than 50); Cambridge-CAE: Overall 176 (no band less than 169).

For international students

Successful completion of an Australian Graduate Certificate or overseas equivalent.
