What will I learn?

If you have an interest in natural health and wellness with a desire to help people, then HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage is the best course for you to study. You will learn several different types of massage techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point, manual lymph drainage, myofascial, PNF (advanced massage technique used to help reset muscle holding patterns) and a range of specialised treatments for people with chronic health conditions.

When you complete this course you will have the skills to assess client's needs and plan and conduct remedial massage using a wide range of techniques. You will learn a vast knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology as well as effective communication skills to deal with clients, health professionals and the health system. This will ensure a sound understanding of how to work safely and ethically in the health care environment.

This course is very practical and hands-on as you will have weekly access to a Live Works Clinic at each campus which has been developed to simulate the workplace. During the course, opportunities may arise where you can be part of external sporting events to provide support and in some cases have access to offsite facilities and resources which will be beneficial to your studies
