The Master of Business Administration degree (MBA), has become one of the most coveted degrees in the workplace. It is for both career changers and the ambitious, often the key to leadership and that next promotion.
Being a new degree program means we have been able to incorporate the latest management theory and industry knowledge into our curriculum. Many of our lecturers also teach at other universities (e.g. Dr Menuka Jayaratne lectures at both VIT and LaTrobe University), so you are getting access to the same quality education.
Academic Structure
VIT’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a Post-Graduate course at Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Level 9.
Qualification Rule
To graduate with an MBA, you need to have completed 16 units (96 credit points). If you have studied related undergraduate or have extensive managerial experience you may be eligible to receive advanced standing through recognition of prior learning / credit transfer (RPL / CT) for 4 of the 16 units. To graduate you must have satisfied the requirements all 8 core units and 8 elective units including a Business Project worth 12 credit points (including RPL/CT).

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years or older at commencement of course.
An English Language proficiency level of one of the below:
An appropriate English Language proficiency level i.e. IELTS band overall 6.5 and no individual band less than 6.0 OR equivalent.
Other equivalent English Proficiency Level Accepted:
TOEFL iBT (overall score of 79 with no score less than 60) OR PTE Academic (overall score of 58 with no score less than 50) OR CAE/CPE (overall test scale of 176 with no individual scale less than 169)
