Entry requirements

For international students

This course is offered under four admission rules.

Rule A: You have completed a four-year pre-service teaching qualification (AQF Level 7 or overseas equivalent).

If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule A. 

Rule B: You have completed a Bachelor qualification (AQF Level 7) and a one or two-year pre-service teaching qualification (AQF Level 8 or 9) or overseas equivalent.

If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule B. 

Rule C: You have completed Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (AQF Level 8) or overseas equivalent, or one of the following UNE AQF Level 8 qualifications:

Graduate Certificate in eLearning

Graduate Certificate in Digital Learning

Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Comparative Education)

Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Gifted and Talented: Teaching for High Potential)

Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Literature and New Literacies)

Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

Graduate Certificate in Gifted and Talented Education

Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Australian Education

Graduate Certificate in International Schooling, Education and Development

Graduate Certificate in School Leadership

Graduate Certificate in Special Education

Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule C. 

Rule F: You meet ALL of the following entry requirements:

You have completed a four-year pre-service teaching qualification (AQF Level 7) or a Bachelor qualification (AQF Level 7) and a one or two-year pre-service teaching qualification (AQF Level 8 or 9) or overseas equivalents

AND you have a minimum of three years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) professional experience as a middle leader, head teacher, or other senior leadership role in a school context.

If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule F.

A certified academic transcript of your completed qualification/s.

f you are applying for admission under Rules E or F, you must provide a Statement of Service from your employer/s on company letterhead.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
