Entry requirements

For international students

18 years or older at commencement of course.

Any recognised degree is required to enter VIT’s MITS course. A recognised degree is any Australian or equivalent overseas degree at AQF level 7 or above.

Non-Graduate Entry: Graduate Certificate

If a candidate does not hold any previous bachelor’s degree (AQF 7) or a recognised equivalent qualification from any other country, the candidate can be admitted to Graduate Certificate of Information Technology and Systems (GCITS) with at least seven years of relevant experience, and if they successfully pass the foundation units they may exit with a GCITS and/or may continue with MITS course.

Minimum English Language Requirement

An English Language proficiency level of one of the below:

Meet the entry requirements through one of the following English Language Tests:

Academic IELTS band overall 6.5 and no individual band less than 6.0

Academic PTE: 58 or above with no communicative skill below 50

TOEFL (iBT): 79 or above; Writing 21; Speaking 18; Reading 13;Listening 13

TOEFL (Paper): 577 + TWE 4.5

CAE: 176 or above with no skill below 169

A Levels with a C or better in English/English literature in the General Certificate of Education (GCE)

Other tests as approved by Academic Board
