What will I learn?

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to assist in the staging of events, conferences and/or functions in the community, cultural, hospitality, sporting or travel and tourism industries. You will learn how to provide support to ensure the successful staging of events, including facilitating reservations, supplying food and beverages, ticketing, and entry and seating advice to industry and workplace health and safety standards.

Entry requirements

For international students

Entry requirements vary from country to country. Students must have completed the equivalent of Australian Year 10.

English Language Requirements:

IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0; TOEFL 55 (iBT); Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - Minimum Level 43; Password score of 5.5; Eiken Grade Pre 1; Successful completion of at least 2 years of study at an acceptable grade in an English medium course completed within the previous 2 years OR GCE O Levels English with 'C'; 'A' or 'B' in Malaysian SPM English or 'C' in 1119 English; Kenyan KCSE English 'C'; International Baccalaureate (IB) Minimum of 3 in English A1 or A2; Completion of the Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE); Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Upper Intermediate Level or equivalent at North Metropolitan TAFE or a recognized English college.
