Summary

Classical and medieval studies will provide you with an understanding of Greek and Roman art, literature, languages and history. You will study the Middle Ages, the Crusades and Latin and Greek languages while developing the ability to analyze complex issues and to think creatively and analytically.

Sample Courses:

Introduction to the Civilizations of Greece and Rome, Greek Mythology, Life and Death in Middle Ages, Roman Social History, Medieval Christianity.

Note: This degree can be pursued through one of our three federated colleges: Campion College, First Nations University of Canada & Luther College. Entry requirement for international students

Admission requirements vary by country and the Faculty you are applying to. Applicants are expected to meet the minimum of High School transcripts/GCE A Level or equivalent for admission.

Please refer the university site and contact the Admissions Office or International Admissions for further assistance.

Any of the following will be accepted as satisfactory evidence:

Successful completion of at least three years of formal, full-time English at a secondary school that is a recognized school or institution where English is primary language of instruction.

Successful completion of the English as a Second Language (Advanced EAP) program or a minimum average score of 55 on the ESL placement exam both offered through the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Regina.

Successful completion of at least 24 credit hours (University of Regina degree level equivalent).

Advanced Placement English (grade of 3 or better) or International Baccalaureate Higher English (grade of 4 or better) or SAT II English (required score varies).

GCSE/IGCSE/GCE O' Level English, English Language, or English as a Second Language with minimum grade of 'B' or GCE A/AS/AICE Level English or English Language with minimum grade of 'C'.

If you do not meet one of the above, you will be required to submit language proficiency test results.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Internet Based: Overall 80, Paper Based: 550; Minimum Essay Score of 3.5; IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Overall Band score of 6.5, with no band less than 5.0; CanTest (Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees): Listening 4.5, Reading 4.5, Writing 4.0; CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): 60; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): 85; CELT (Comprehensive English Language Test) - restricted to Francophone students: 60.
