Summary
The Theatre program at Crandall is rooted in the concept of storytelling – the narrative. We believe that humans often chart a path toward truth through storytelling and we welcome you to deepen your understanding of the narrative and hone your skills as a storyteller as you participate in the Theatre program.
Special Program Highlights for the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies
- Build a foundation in the theoretical concepts of storytelling at the beginning of your program.
- Participate with other students in the Fall and Winter dramatic productions on campus.
- Spend a year immersed in the profession of technical or performance theatre at Rosebud School of the Arts (Alberta) as part of your degree.
- Have your life transformed through the internship option of participating in the Canadian Badlands Passion Play (Alberta).
- Create a strategic network with professional actors and theatre personnel.
- Enjoy the opportunity for international travel to either New York or London where you will enjoy and learn through top-notch professional performances.

Strategic Partnership with Rosebud School of the Arts
In order to expose you to a world-class experience in theatre that is firmly rooted in the Christian faith, Crandall University has partnered with Rosebud School of the Arts (RSA) in Rosebud, Alberta. After having completed 2 years of study (60 credit hours) at Crandall University, you will spend one full academic year at RSA. Here you will take courses like:

Entry requirement for international students
Secondary school applicants need to have achieved in their final year of schooling an average of 70% (5 best scoring academic subjects).
IELTS: minimum 6.5 overall, minimum 6.0 in each area. (International English Language Testing System)
TOEFL-IBT: minimum 90 overall, minimum 21 in each area. (Internet-Based Test)
TOEFL-CBT: minimum 236 overall, minimum TWE 4.5. (Computer-Based Test)
