This program incorporates research and theories from the social sciences, humanities, science, education and law, to provide you with an interdisciplinary understanding of global and local social justice issues. Areas of study include: critical race theory, ethnic studies, indigenous studies, media studies, feminist politics and methodologies, sexuality, and more.

Gender, race, sexuality and social justice is an exciting interdisciplinary field of study that also draws upon several traditional disciplines. It has its own texts, journals, and methodologies.

In many disciplines some of the most innovative scholarly work in theory and research is being done by gender, race, sexuality, and social justice specialists, and the interdisciplinary nature of this scholarship is an important feature of its success and promise.

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants must have the graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school: Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by school principal, head, or counsellor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.

Admission average calculated on final year academic courses/exams: Grades required for admission will vary by program, but based on the India grading scale, the minimum average needed to fall within the competitive range is approximately 74% on a 33% pass scale, or 76% on a 40% pass scale.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System (Academic)): 6.5 with no part less than 6.0; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) with the MELAB Oral Interview: 85 final score with 3 in the speaking test; PTE (Pearson Test of English (Academic)): Overall score: 65; TOEFL Internet-based test: Overall score: 90; TOEFL Paper-based test with the TWE (Test of Written English): 55 each for Reading, Listening, and Writing (4.0 on TWE)
