Learn a range of technical skills you can use across several sectors In this program you'll analyze, design, develop, test and integrate software into complex systems.With growing market demand, software engineering is one of Canada's newest engineering disciplines however, there are few software engineering programs in Canada. At Ontario Tech University, our Software Engineering program focuses on the design of computer software and is exposed to software design for embedded systems, enterprise and mobile systems, distributed systems, real-time control systems, multi-media and man-machine interfaces. Courses including software design, user interface, advanced networks, and design and analysis of algorithms prepare graduates for successful careers in the software engineering fieldThere is a need for engineers with management skills. Entry requirements

For international students

Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete international academic qualification equivalent to Canada Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

English language proficiency requirements

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.0
  • Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): Minimum score of 85.
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Minimum score of 58.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet-based test (iBT) with a total score of 83, and minimum scaled scores of Listening: 20; Reading: 20; Speaking: 19; and Writing: 20.
