What will I learn?

Parts management technicians make sure the right parts are available in the right place at the right time. You have to like variety, be good at organizing things, be able to handle large volumes of information, and have good people and computer skills.The Parts Management Technician program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic provides the skills you need to work in wholesale distribution centres and in automotive, truck, agricultural, industrial equipment and recreational equipment dealerships.Saskatchewan Polytechnic's one-year Parts Management Technician certificate program is offered on campus in Regina and Saskatoon. The entire program is also offered online through distance learning.When you graduate from Saskatchewan Polytechnics certificate program, youll be ready to work as a parts or warehouse person in automotive, truck, agricultural, industrial or recreational dealerships, in wholesale distribution centres and for industrial suppliers. There are jobs at mine sites, mills, warehouses, government departments, hospitals, even the armed forces. You could also work as a service writer, inventory control clerk, purchasing clerk, shipper and receiver.

Entry requirements

For international students

Grade 10

International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Academic Module: Overall minimum score of Band 6.5 with a minimum score of 5.0 in each component.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - An overall minimum score of 81 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT), with a minimum score of 19 in each of reading, listening, speaking and writing..

TOEFL - Paper-based: Minimum test score of 550 with a minimum TWE of 3.5 and a minimum TSE of 50.

Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees (CanTEST): Minimum score of 4.5 in each of listening and reading, a minimum score of 4.0 in speaking, and a minimum score of 4.0 in writing

Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL CE and Online): Minimum score of 60 with a minimum score of 50 in each component. (CE and Online accepted).

University of Cambridge Assessment English C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency: Minimum grade of C1

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTEA) - A minimum score of 63 with minimum component scores of 50.

Duolingo English Test: A minimum overall score of 105 on the online Duolingo English Test as the equivalent to the minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5

International Baccalaureate (IB) English A1 or A2: Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Diploma, including higher level English with a minimum grade of 4
