What will I learn?

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is a research-based doctoral program that is designed primarily for working professionals who aspire to make an impact in their fields of practice, industries or communities.

The 60-credit program is delivered through a combination of short intensive residencies and cohort-based online learning, meaning that you can complete your doctoral study while maintaining your professional career. Essentially, Royal Roads DBA promotes research that will contribute to the advancement of professional, sustainable, value-driven, and innovative management and business practices and research.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants must have relevant master’s degree from a recognized university, normally with a minimum ‘B’ (3.00/4.33 GPA). English Language Requirements: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic 7.0 overall with a minimum 6.5 in writing, speaking, listening and reading; Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT 100 overall with a minimum 26 in writing and 23 in listening, reading and speaking; Pearson Test of English - Academic (PTE-A): 68 overall with a minimum 60 in writing, speaking, listening and reading.

For international students

Standard Admission

Relevant master’s degree from a recognized university, normally with a minimum ‘B’ (3.00/4.33 GPA)
Normally, a minimum of seven years of relevant full-time work experience, with five years at a management level and increasing levels of responsibility

Flexible Admission

No Flexible Admission process for this program. All applicants must have a recognized master's degree.
