This interdisciplinary applied life sciences degree-diploma combination is offered by Lakehead-Georgian. Upon completion, you will receive both an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Life Sciences from Lakehead University and the Biotechnology-Health Diploma from Georgian College.

Prepare for a career in biomedical research, forensics, diagnostic laboratories or the health sector. This degree-diploma program focuses on the study of living things from the molecular level to the organism level. The applied life sciences degree-diploma program blends theories and practices from anthropology, biology, chemistry and physics with hands-on learning through laboratory courses, application of experimental techniques and use of scientific equipment. Youll explore diverse topics to understand the extent of biological diversity at the molecular level and develop critical thinking skills with respect to modern life sciences. For students from United States

Ontario high school students: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including: English (ENG4U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Biology (SBI4U), Chemistry (SCH4U). A minimum final average, based on the best six Grade 12 U or M courses, of 75% is required.

For international students
