What will I learn?

Address challenging real-world computational problems with the Master of Mathematics in Computational Mathematics program.An interdisciplinary field of study, it combines and unifies techniques from mathematics, statistics, and computer science to solve real-world problems that require quantitative modelling and high-end computing.This intensive, twelve-month research-based program is best suited to you if have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or any program with a strong mathematical component (including economics, engineering, the physical sciences). You’ll get a solid foundation in the theory and applications of the broad field of computational mathematics along with a four-month paid co-op work term in a high-end Canadian or international company to give you hands-on experience.At the end of the program, you’ll be prepared for further research at the PhD level or for a top job in industry. Our graduates find among the most interesting and rewarding high-end technology jobs in banks, tech companies, industry and government.

An overall 78% average or its equivalent for undergraduate work.A 4-year honours bachelor's degree or its equivalent with specialization in some area of the mathematical, statistical and computer sciences. Note: graduates of other quantitative and mathematically oriented programs are also encouraged to apply; this includes, but is not restricted to, graduates of commerce, economics, engineering, finance, and any of the physical sciences.
