What will I learn?

The main goal of the PhD program in Kinesiology is to allow students interested in the Movement Science or Socio-cultural aspects of Kinesiology to develop excellence in designing, conducting and disseminating research knowledge to the broader community including: the workplace; sport, teaching, and leisure environments; and exercise physical activity and rehabilitation settings.

Entry requirements

For international students

Graduates of recognized universities may apply for admission. In general, admission to graduate study is granted only to those students who have good academic records and who are adequately prepared to undertake graduate work in their field of specialization. In particular, an applicant for admission to a graduate program leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy must have either a Master's degree or, in exceptional cases, a four-year Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent; with a minimum average of 77% (or equivalent). Possession of the minimum requirements does not ensure admission.

Minimum TOEFL: IBT-100

Minimum IELTS: (7.0 - no individual band lower than 6.0 for PhD)

Minimum Pearson: 68

Minimum MELAB: 85

Minimum CAEL: 70

Deadline for Fall: February 1.
