Globally, the demand for food and limited natural resources is increasing. This international Master’s program therefore follows an interdisciplinary approach in sustainable agriculture in the tropics and subtropics. In cooperation with universities and institutions in over 90 countries, you will be prepared specifically for work in development service.

The curriculum is especially designed to promote the following skills:

assessing the quality and quantity of natural resources and their influence on agricultural production in tropical and subtropical countries

considering agricultural production systems and methods with regard to nutrient cycles

integrating expertise into management recommendations and evaluating diverse strategies in consideration of sustainability

considering and evaluating infrastructure limitations with regard to market entry options

elaborating concrete development and enhancement approaches for sustainable agricultural production

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences, Natural Sciences, or a related program at a university in Germany or abroad or at a university of applied sciences with a standard period of study of at least 3 years (totaling 180 ECTS credits). Proof of English proficiency (at least 90 ibt TOEFL) is required.
