Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accountancy
A 2-year (68 units) full-time “top-up” degree programme for graduates from associate degree programmes in accounting/business.
An honours degree programme offered by the Department of Accountancy & Law at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
A whole-person campus learning environment offering students full access to the library, sports, computer and other facilities at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
A curriculum which combines a vigorous emphasis on professional accountancy training, a wide selection of business courses, as well as a substantial element of general education.
A curriculum which includes a range of China-related courses from which students can choose to suit their own interest.
Learning Goals
LG1: Students will have the fundamental knowledge and skills required for managing a business.
LG2: Students will have an in-depth understanding of accounting.
LG3: Students will have the oral and written communication skills necessary for working in a business environment.
LG4: Students will be analytical and critical thinkers able to solve real-world business problems.
LG5: Students will have a solid understanding of
(a) how business is influenced by its environment, including economic, social-cultural, legal-political, technological, and other general conditions, as well as by an organization’s stakeholders;
(b) the global nature of contemporary business;
(c) the value of business ethics and good corporate governance.

Holders of the Hong Kong Baptist University’s Associate Degree of Science in Professional Accountancy or Associate Degree of Arts in Business; or
Holders of associate degree/higher diploma in accountancy/business from other recognized tertiary institutions in Hong Kong; or
Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed on an individual basis.
In addition, priority will be given to applicants who have obtained Level 3 of HKDSE English Language. The following public examination results are recognized as equivalent to Level 3 of HKDSE English Language:
