What will I learn?

As the first graduate degree course in Hong Kong dedicated to the training of news professionals, the Master of Journalism [MJ] programme focuses on the core ingredients of a sound education in journalism. Students received training in the best practices in print, digital and multimedia journalism, as well as media law, standards and ethics. Students may also pursue their interest in business & financial reporting, cultural journalism, global affairs, documentary production, data journalism, photojournalism and in journalism covering China. The programme, taught in English, seeks to prepare students for the professional world, and to become standard bearers in a fast-changing media environment shaped increasingly by commercial pressures and revolutionary technological developments. The programme is also suitable for mid-career journalists interested in professional enhancement or a teaching career, as well as for non-news professionals seeking a media-related career.
