The Master of Science in Electronic Commerce and Internet Computing [MSc(ECom&IComp)] curriculum is the first in Hong Kong to bridge business and technology. It taps into the unique position of Hong Kong in the global financial market and was launched with the mission to nurture technologically adept and business savvy talents who can offer innovative solutions to the businesses in Hong Kong. We train professionals who can satisfy this demand. We also incorporate some advanced and meritorious components to help students keep abreast with the fast advances in IT technologies.
When they exit from the programme, they can continue to be able to separate the hype from the reality, to analyze new developments, synthesize and integrate them with established, sound structures and concepts, and to spot niches and opportunities for entrepreneurial ventures.
Students are required to successfully complete 72 credits to graduate. The mode of study may comprise 48 credits of courses plus a dissertation (equivalent to 24 credits) or 60 credits of courses plus a case study project (equivalent to 12 credits).
Mode of Attendance
Full Time (minimum one year, maximum two years, with classes on weekday evenings and weekends)
There are two semesters and one summer semester in an academic year.

Hold a Bachelor's degree of this University or a qualification of equivalent standard from this University or another comparable institution accepted for this purpose.
English Language Requirements
In addition to satisfying the requirements for admission to the curriculum concerned, an applicant who is seeking admission on the basis of a qualification from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which the language of teaching and/or examination is not English is required to obtain one of the following examination result.
A. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
1. a score of 550 or above in the paper-based TOEFL; or
2. a score of 213 or above in the computer-based TOEFL; or
3. a score of 80 or above in the internet-based TOEFL; or
B. IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
A minimum overall band of 6 with no subtest lower than 5.5; or
C. GCE (General Certificate of Education)
Grade C or above; or
D. IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)
Grade C or above; or
E. Cambridge Test of Proficiency in English Language
Grade C or above
