About Faculty
UPM’s Faculty of Engineering, from its humble beginnings in 1975 was known as Faculty of Agricultural Engineering with only four departments and now has grown into one of the best engineering schools in Malaysia. To date, the Faculty has eight exciting departments offering eight Bachelor programs and 34 postgraduate programs, with combined enrolment of over 3000 for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

This field places emphasis on research and courses that pertain to the latest and advanced issues in the broad areas of signal processing that can be in the form of image, speech, audio and video signals, virtual reality, remote sensing, motion estimation, codec, vision systems, medical imaging and visualisation.

The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree (with honours) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.000, or
The applicant who has insufficient academic qualification can be admitted into the programme subjected to any other requirement specified by the Faculty/Institute.
An applicant from a local public university who is in the final semester of his undergraduate study programme may be considered for provisional admission provided that his latest CGPA or its equivalent academic result satisfies the graduate programme admission requirements.
For applicants with one of the following
550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version); or
Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training); or
79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version); or
Level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre; or
Any English Language Test which is equivalent to B2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
