Course info


This field of study focuses on the scientific studies of drug interaction and poison/biohazard on biological system, in vivo or in vitro, or both. It covers pharmaco/toxico-dynamic, pharmaco/toxico-kinetics, and drug/poison actions, body reactions on drug/poison and specific drug-drug/poison interactions, and changes in parameter studied. Studies on the pathway and mechanism of action are also emphasized. Assessment of extract, bioactive compound from natural sources (plant and animal) or synthetic and their potential in drug discovery and physiological function in relation with toxicological problem is also included.

Entry requirement for international students

The applicant should possess:

A Master Degree (by coursework) in a relevant field with a minimum grade average of B, or

A Master Degree by research in a relevant field.

For applicants with one of the following

550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version); or

Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training); or

79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version); or

Level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre; or

Any English Language Test which is equivalent to B2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
