Programme Objectives of Doctor of Philosophy

The Doctor of Philosophy programme is developed aims to cater for the creation and interpretation of new knowledge, through original research and demonstrating a significant range of the principal skills, techniques, tools, practices and/or materials which are associated with a field of learning, develop new skills, techniques, tools, practices and/or materials.

The programme objectives are:

1. To produce graduates competent in practising advanced scientific principles in academic, science and technology.

2. To produce graduates engaging in the activities that demonstrate communication and leadership role.

3. To produce graduates practising professional ethics and engage in lifelong learning.

Students must have master’s degree from a recognized university and show evidence of adequate related research or work experience. IELTS 5.0; TOEFL iBT – 42; Cambridge English: Advance (CAE) – 154; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 47; Malaysia University English Test (MUET): Band 3.

For international students

Students must have master’s degree from a recognized university and show evidence of adequate related research or work experience.

- TOEFL : 410-430/ TOEFL iBT Score 42 - 45
- Cambridge English Qualification and Tests : 154 - 159 (High B1 level in CEFR)
