Theology offers you a variety of interesting topics in which you learn to think thoroughly about people, society and the christian faith. You will learn Greek, Hebrew and Latin to read texts in their source languages. You can also study this program on a part-time basis.
Program
You are being challenged with subjects such as Church History, Patristics, Pastoral Theology, Philosophy, Psychology of Religion and Spirituality. In the second and third year you are enabled to deepen even more the objects of your interest by following a minor.
Career prospects
Theologians work as spiritual counselors in hospitals, prisons or in the army, as pastoral workers in the Catholic Church, as journalists or as policy makers in (sustainable) companies or banks.
The Bachelor's degree in Theology also gives you direct access to three Master’s Programs in the field of theology, christianity and society and religious education.

You have a high school diploma which is equivalent to the Dutch VWO diploma.
You need to demonstrate your English language proficiency. Tilburg University accepts Academic IELTS (6.0 overall, minimum of 5.5 on individual parts), TOEFL (minimum score of 80 internet based), and Cambridge English test results: C1 advanced (formerly CAE) or C2 proficiency (formerly CPE). For both C1 and C2, we accept a score of A, B or C.
