Examine how people and societies make decisions about producing, distributing, and consuming goods and services. Economics is the study of how people behave and make decisions - how we use and allocate our resources, how we deal with issues like climate change, which career we choose, and more. These decisions involve trade-offs between costs and benefits, and we are constantly considering these in our everyday life. At UC, there are lots of opportunities to gain experience including industry projects, internships, clubs, and overseas study trips.
