Entry requirements

For international students

General admission

240 credit programme applicants are required to have:

an undergraduate degree from a New Zealand Institution or an approved equivalent; or
at the Deans discretion, where an applicants situation is compelling but not covered by the requirements listed above.

180 credit programme applicants are required to have:

an undergraduate degree from a New Zealand Institution in the business or management field with a minimum of the equivalent to a B average; or
a Bachelor Honours or Postgraduate degree in the Business or Management field with 120 credits at Level 8; or
a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field with a minimum of the equivalent to a B average and evidence of management experience at degree level, subject to assessment by the Programme Coordinator; or
at the Deans discretion, where an applicants situation is compelling but not covered by the requirements listed above.

English language requirements

Applicants who have English as a second language are required to have an overall academic International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.5, with no individual band score lower than 6.0 achieved in the last two years; or equivalent.

Note: if you do not meet the entry criteria above, you may be admitted to the Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Management and, upon successful completion of four modules (with a minimum B average), be admitted to the Master of Applied Management.
