What will I learn?

The Master of Arts in Māori Development is designed specifically to support your particular research interests and tailored to your individual learning needs. Take your understanding of Māori development further, and research an area of your interest through your thesis or dissertation. The learning environment is wānanga based, encourages inclusivity and discipline, and is informed by Māori beliefs and values. The range of options within the Master of Arts creates a very flexible course of study, with a strong emphasis on research. You'll demonstrate a high level of professionalism, independence and leadership in your chosen field and show the ability to engage in a sustained period of research. You may choose to progress to further study at doctoral level.Study social sciences and public policy, and develop a strong foundation for meaningful careers where you can really make a difference and help to make the world a better place for all. Our interactive classes make it easy for you to get to know your classmates, and you could collaborate with community or industry organisations on projects or during your workplace experience.
