What will I learn?

Prepare for higher-level study in medical imaging, sport science or applied science. This programme is a pathway for the Bachelor of Medical Imaging, the Bachelor of Applied Science (Sports Science) and the New Zealand Diploma in Applied Science (Level 5).It covers a variety of subjects including human and microbial biology, cell biology, chemistry and maths. Youll also gain skills for academic study - such as how to write academic texts - and you'll develop the intra- and inter-personal skills needed to support success in tertiary study. This certificate can be studied full-time or part-time over two years.Successful completion of this qualification does not guarantee entry to the pathways destination programme of study. Entry requirements for these programmes still apply and selection for some destination programmes is highly competitive. Please note: to ensure you have the best chance of success in our maths courses, we require that you demonstrate a minimum level of maths knowledge before enrolling. This can be done using previous academic records (e.g. NCEA results) or through our entry testing process.
