What will I learn?

Gain a more in-depth understanding of your scientific subject area and boost your career opportunities with a PGDipSc.The Diploma will take you one year of full-time study, or up to two years if you study part time. Youll further develop your skills in laboratory work, data analysis, and scientific communication. The programme can also provide a pathway into Masters study.Youll take courses worth a total of 120 points-and with most subjects, you can choose whether to include a 30-point research project.If you already have a Bachelors degree and you want to gain advanced knowledge in your chosen area of specialisation, then a PGDipSc is a good option for you.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant subject with a B range average.

For international students

To be accepted into this programme you will need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant subject with a B range average.

To have met the prerequisites for the subject you wish to study.

To be accepted by the head of the school as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study

Proof of English proficiency

To be accepted into this programme you will need one of the following:

IELTS (Academic): minimum overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score below 6.0

TOEFL: minimum score of 90 for the internet-based test with a minimum of 20 in writing

Pearson Test of English: minimum score of 58 (with a ‘Communicative score of not less than 50)

EAP: minimum final scores of 4,4,5,5
