NUS is an institution that recognizes potential and wants to nurture its development, and so those students who have specific talents, outstanding academic achievements or that show potential leadership qualities may be eligible for a scholarship to help them focus on their studies.
These scholarships vary, with some offered by the university and others funding by external organisations, so the eligibility criteria for each can vary. Students are advised to browse the selection of scholarships that may benefit them and apply promptly for the best chance of success.
Scholarships can cover tuition fees either partially or in full and may include other financial rewards, such as an annual fee to support living costs or a one-off payment for a computer. There are tailored scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as those aimed primarily at international students.
The entry requirements for study at NUS vary, but broadly require a high-school education of 12 years to have been completed by July of the year of application. Certain courses will have specific requirements – for example, students looking to study Business Administration must have a pass in Year 12 equivalent Mathematics.
