What will I learn?

During this four-year degree programme, undergraduates will read both their majors in both Linguistics and Multilingual Studies and Psychology, benefiting from the expertise and resources of both the School of Humanities(SoH) and the School of Social Sciences(SSS).

The Psychology curriculum offers rigorous training to students in understanding human emotion, cognition and behaviours using scientific methods. The goals of our program focus on fostering critical thinking, methodological and quantitative reasoning skills. Students will complete a wide range of courses including but not limited to abnormal psychology, biopsychology, clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, personality and social psychology.

The Linguistics and Multilingual Studies curriculum allows students to explore the many interesting facets of language and communication, from the properties of speech sounds to grammatical and discourse structure, from children's language development to communication in bilingual and multilingual societies.

Graduates from this programme will be suitable employees in both the public and private sectors in Singapore, and the global employment market. They’ll also be well positioned for post-graduate studies.

One possible career option is Market Research Analyst or Marketing Psychologist. Some individuals who work in marketing psychology, such as advertisers or marketers, focus on sales, while others in marketing psychology are responsible for research, training or consumer advocacy.
