What will I learn?

The four-year IS programme provides a stimulating education that equips students with the ability to integrate infocomm technology fundamentals with domain expertise to develop innovative solutions for organisations. Through projects and case studies that are aligned with industry best practices, students will develop an in-depth understanding of the strategic exploitation of infocomm technology in emerging organisational forms. Students become proficient in the design and development of infocomm solutions and the management of infocomm projects. Such skills are vital in helping students develop careers that are being emphasised in the iN2015 plan, such as techno-strategist, solution architect, and infocomm project manager.

Students can choose to pursue one of the three specialisations - Electronic Commerce, Financial Technology and Digital Innovation.

Financial Technology specialisation equips students with a solid understanding of disruptive use of IT in financial sector. Students with this specialisation can consider additional IT jobs like financial IT analysts upon graduation.

Digital Innovation specialisation trains students to become the visionaries and change leaders who will lead the technological transformations of Singapore businesses. Students are able to gain broad theoretic lenses to not only drive innovation but also deliver the innovation. Students with this specialisation can consider additional IT career paths such as assuming the positions of digital strategists and IT start-up entrepreneurs.

Electronic commerce specialisation offers students the necessary skillset to pursue careers that have a business or commerce orientation to develop an in-depth understanding in innovations and systems creation, operation and delivery of e-commerce platforms. Students with this specialisation can consider additional IT jobs like e-commerce start-up entrepreneur and digital strategist upon graduation.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants should have completed a high school. English Language Requirements: EL1119 minimum acceptable score C6; IELTS - 6.5 overall with 6.5 in Reading and Writing components; MUET-200; TOEFL - 580 for paper-based / 92-93 for internet-based.

For international students

Applicants should have completed a high school.
