What will I learn?

This programme is awarded by University of London (UOL), UK and developed by the member institution, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

LSE is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. Since its foundation in 1895, it has acquired a worldwide reputation for the quality of its research – 50% of its research was rated world-leading and a further 37% internationally excellent in the most recent assessment of research quality in UK universities.

This programme is ideal for those who wish to pursue careers in industry and financial analysis, particularly as market analysts or research economists. It also gives you the stepping stone to pursue further studies in economics or finance.

This programme aims to help you appreciate the close linkages between economics and finance in a wide range of issues, such as risk and asset choice. This degree is not for the faint-hearted as the units generally require rigorous attention.

This programme is not recommended to students who are exempted from the first year of the degree unless they have completed the Certificate of Higher Education in Social Sciences from the University of London.

Many graduates went on to work in junior to middle management in banks, management consultancy groups and financial firms.
