The programme enables students to explore the various engineering diplomas and available career options, before applying for the diploma programme that suits their interest and aspiration. The programme will provide a well-rounded education comprising both technical capabilities and general know-how. Discipline-specific modules will equip students with a solid foundation before they embark on subsequent engineering modules. General modules will help students prepare the ground and train them to be a lifelong learner. This programme is ideal if students are uncertain about what the various fields of engineering entail or they have not yet decided what career option is best for them. By enrolling in this programme, students will get some extra time to make an informed decision and find a field that best suits their interests. While gaining a clearer understanding of the different programmes offered by SEG, students will also build a solid foundation of engineering skills and knowledge from which to launch their learning journey at RP.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: O-level holders must have English language with grades 1-7, mathematics (Elementary/Additional) with grades 1-6, any one of the following subjects: with grades 1-6; aggregate type (ELR2B2-C); NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 3.5; higher NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 2.0. Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: A-level holders must have the obtain an A-S grade for General Paper (English Medium), obtain an A-E grade for 3 other H2 subjects, and must have taken GCE 'A' Level examinations whilst studying in a Junior College / Millennia Institute in Singapore.
