What will I learn?

Gain career experience through our six-month internships

Be equipped with industry-relevant accounting software skills

Enjoy accreditation and exemptions from professional bodies and universities

As the backbone of every business, accounting plays a key role in decision-making processes. At the Diploma in Accountancy (ACC) course, you will learn that accounting is more than just numbers. Besides modules on financial and managerial accounting, taxation, computing and communication skills, you will also learn how to strengthen internal controls, analyse financial performance and bring value to businesses in terms of strategy and governance.

Industry-relevant Curriculum

You will be exposed to accounting software widely used in the industry such as MYOB and SAP and get hands-on learning through a six-month internship programme with established local and overseas organisations. Our industry partners include the “Big Four” international accounting firms such as PwC, Deloitte, EY and KPMG, as well as local accounting firms and banks like RSM Chio Lim, Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank.

Recognised & Accredited

As an ACC graduate, you will enjoy accreditation and module exemptions on selected modules from many universities and professional organisations. This means that you will get to complete your degree or professional examinations ahead of your peers.

Besides job opportunities in the “Big Four” international accounting firms, you can also develop your career in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, managerial accounting, corporate secretarial practice, banking and financial services.

The ACC diploma is recognised by all local universities and many overseas universities. Many universities in Australia and the United Kingdom grant up to one year’s exemption, which means you, can complete your degree programme faster.

You will also enjoy module exemptions for courses and examinations offered by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and the Singapore Association of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (SAICSA).

In collaboration with the Singapore Accountancy Commission and Singapore Workforce Development Agency, NP will be launching an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy in 2016. A work-study programme under the Skills Future initiative, it offers an alternative pathway for Accountancy diploma holders into the profession.
