What will I learn?

This course will equip students with a strong foundation in aerospace engineering sufficient to enter one of the multiple Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) companies in Singapore. In addition, the programme will allow students to pursue the technical skills to jump-start students career with leading aviation companies such as ST Aerospace, Pratt and Whitney, Rolls-Royce, and Airbus Helicopter. Students who complete this programme will be able to gain a solid and well-rounded grounding in aircraft structural and aircraft engine maintenance and repair; appreciate the complexities of aerospace engineering and safety protocols; and be trained with the necessary mechanical engineering skill sets to join the fast- growing MRO market in Asia. Graduates have a solid technical foundation to launch a career in the aviation industry. Some job opportunities in this sector include airframe and engine inspector; licensed aircraft engineer(LAE); material ; production planner; non-destructive testing specialist; process engineer; technical production support personnel; and workshop engineer. Graduates get many opportunities of further education into local and overseas institutions. The programme provides students diversity so that they may pursue further education in other engineering trades such as mechanical and electrical engineering if they wish.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: O-level holders must have English language with grades 1-7, mathematics (elementary/advanced) with grades 1-6, any one of the following subjects: with grades 1-6; aggregate type (ELR2B2-C); NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 3.5; higher NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 2.0.Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: A-level holders must have the obtain an A-S grade for General Paper (English Medium), obtain an A-E grade for 3 other H2 subjects, and must have taken GCE 'A' Level examinations whilst studying in a Junior College / Millennia Institute in Singapore.
