What will I learn?

The programme students will prepare you for a career in this exciting and fast-developing area. Students will acquire in-depth knowledge of how energy efficiency can be applied in the design of buildings and industrial processes. Students will also receive hands-on training in energy auditing, using specialized equipment in laboratories set up jointly with leading companies. Our cutting-edge Outdoor Lab has a grid-tie photovoltaic solar system. Internships and projects will allow you to apply your skills to real-world problems. This valuable experience will help you get your foot in the door at prestigious companies and institutions. Students will gain a solid grounding in green building technologies, energy auditing and renewable energy theories and technologies. Acquire practical knowledge and valuable skills to meet the demands of the growing green building industry. Develop skills in building energy auditing using specialized equipment. Understand, design, and audit renewable energy systems using state-of-the-art equipment. Receive intensive hands-on training in our cutting-edge laboratories set up in partnership with leading companies. Graduates are ready to take on various green collar engineering positions across the green building, energy audit and renewable energy sectors and beyond. You will be well placed to take on roles such as: green technologist; energy specialist; building and energy auditor; facilities management engineer; research assistant; assistant engineer. Graduates can also choose to pursue further education in local or overseas universities. All our diploma programmes are designed to meet the requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs).

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: O-level holders must have English language with grades 1-7, mathematics (Elementary/Additional) with grades 1-6, any one of the following subjects: with grades 1-6; aggregate type (ELR2B2-C); NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 3.5; higher NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 2.0.Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: A-level holders must have the obtain an A-S grade for General Paper (English Medium), obtain an A-E grade for 3 other H2 subjects, and must have taken GCE 'A' Level examinations whilst studying in a Junior College / Millennia Institute in Singapore.
