What will I learn?

In this programme, students will acquire the expertise to oversee, design, and improve companies’ business operations and resource management by developing integrated solutions. Hands-on training in high-tech laboratories like the ErgoSCAPE Lab - the first of its kind in Singapore - will allow students to gain experience in fields such as human ergonomics, safety, and workplace design. Students will also acquire technical skills in the use of specialized software. Develop an understanding of engineering and management principles so you can help optimize business processes and boost productivity; Acquire hands-on experience using software such as AutoCAD, Double E and FlexSim; Keep your skills up to date through industry certifications such as Certified AutoCAD Professional and Lloyds Certified Internal Auditor; pick up a range of entrepreneurial skills to help you start your own business or explore diverse career options; undergo a 20-week industry attachment programme with a well-known organization such as Keppel FELS, Volvo, OCBC Bank, PSA and Cummins. They can look forward to launching a fulfilling career in roles such as: business executive; costing specialist; customer service manager; facilities officer; industrial engineering specialist; inventory planner; logistics team lead; operations executive; planning and safety officer; product quality technologist; project manager; shipping coordinator. The diploma programmes are designed to meet the requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL). If students intend to do an overseas degree, they can consider among others, University of Birmingham (UK), University of Leeds (UK), University of Liverpool (UK), University of Adelaide (Australia), University of New South Wales (Australia) and the Australian National University (Australia).

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: O-level holders must have English language with grades 1-7, mathematics (Elementary/Additional) with grades 1-6, any one of the following subjects: with grades 1-6; aggregate type (ELR2B2-C); NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 3.5; higher NITEC holders must have completed subjects with GPA equal to 2.0. Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements: A-level holders must have the obtain an A-S grade for General Paper (English Medium), obtain an A-E grade for 3 other H2 subjects, and must have taken GCE 'A' Level examinations whilst studying in a Junior College / Millennia Institute in Singapore.
