Mechanical engineering technologists provide technical support and services in mechanical engineering field such as the design, development, maintenance, and testing of machines; components, tools, heating, and ventilating systems; power generation and power conversion plants, manufacturing plants and equipment. They are employed by consulting and engineering firms, manufacturing and processing companies, educational institutions, and many other sectors.

The main objective of this programme is to provide a solid foundation in mechanical engineering education to students aspiring to become mechanical/aerospace/electro-mechanical engineering technologists or future graduates in mechanical/aerospace/electro-mechanical engineering and to train working adults to be competent in their field of mechanical engineering and upgrade their knowledge skill level.
